Split-Type Core Drilling Rig
The CR1200P is primarily used for deep exploration tasks in high mountains, forests, and remote mining areas. It combines 1200m-class core drilling capability with split transport, suitable for projects where the ore body has been preliminarily controlled but deep resources still need further verification, and where large crawler rigs cannot reach the drill site due to road conditions.
Reference drilling depths: BQ 1500m, NQ 1200m, HQ 700m. Compared to 600m and 800m-class equipment, the CR1200P is more suitable for drilling to verify downward extension, peripheral expansion, and resource upgrade of ore bodies, as well as testing secondary mineralization zones, deep structures, or deeper anomalies.

When producing mines seek replacement resources, they often need to drill from the periphery of existing mining areas or mountain platforms to depth. The CR1200P can drill at angles from 45° to 90°, using deep core to determine whether the ore body continues downward, providing geological evidence for mine expansion, reserve increase, and deep planning.
Large copper and polymetallic deposits often feature thick overburden, complex alteration, and multi-phase tectonics. 1200m-class boreholes can traverse a larger vertical range, and continuous core recovery can be used to analyze mineralization centers, rock contacts, alteration zoning, and fault controls.

Deep drilling rigs typically have larger power and hydraulic systems, and if transported as a whole, they impose high demands on roads and lifting equipment. The CR1200P is divided into multiple functional modules that can be transported in batches according to site transport capacity. Construction organization still requires advance planning for slopes, lifting points, water supply, power, and spare parts replenishment.
The power head uses variable displacement piston motors and gear transmission, with maximum torque of 1360 N·m, maximum speed of 1500 rpm, and supports swing or side shift. Different stages of deep drilling have varying torque and speed requirements; operators should dynamically adjust based on rock type, hole diameter, and drill string load.

The CR1200P has a feed force of 67 kN and a lifting force of 130 kN. For 1200m-class boreholes, controlling hole deviation, maintaining hole wall stability, and reducing drill pipe friction are more important than simply increasing lifting force. If tripping resistance continues to increase, timely circulation, tripping inspection, or hole wall treatment should be performed.
The winch has a rope capacity of 1400m using 6mm wire rope, with a hoisting speed of 116 m/min. In deep holes, the inner tube lifting distance is long, and the wire rope is used frequently. Therefore, inspection and replacement records should be established, with periodic checks for broken wires, wear, indentations, and rope end connections.

The main pump flow is 250 L/min, pressure 25 MPa, main oil tank 250L, and control is manual plus pilot. The large hydraulic flow is beneficial for continuous deep drilling but also requires greater attention to hydraulic oil filtration, temperature control, and high-pressure hose maintenance.
The mud pump flow is 150 L/min, pressure 7 MPa. In deep holes, cuttings transport distance is long, and mud also serves to cool, lubricate, and stabilize the hole wall. When encountering deep lost circulation, water-bearing fractures, or fractured zones, mud properties should be adjusted promptly based on returns and pump pressure changes.

Diesel engine power requirement is ≥147 kW, and an electric configuration of 30 kW × 4 motors is also available. Remote field projects prioritize independent power and fuel supply; mine fixed platforms with stable power can choose electric configuration based on energy costs and maintenance conditions.
When deep holes enter fault zones, core fragmentation, abnormal pump pressure, reduced returns, or hole wall spalling may occur. In such cases, mechanical impact should be reduced, runs shortened, and circulation anomalies addressed promptly. For severe lost circulation, casing, plugging, or staged wall stabilization should be used rather than blindly pursuing footage.

The CR1200P can be used for deep exploration of gold, copper, lithium, nickel, iron, lead-zinc, and polymetallic mines, as well as for deep geological surveys, structural verification, mine periphery expansion, and resource upgrade projects in remote areas.
In remote mining areas, waiting time for parts after downtime is costly. The site should stock common seals, filters, quick couplings, wire rope wear parts, drilling tools, and mud materials, and establish regular maintenance plans for power, hydraulic, winch, and clamp systems.
Before starting drilling, confirm platform stability, hole azimuth, drill pipe inventory, water source, and power supply; after module assembly, check hydraulic connections and mechanical joints one by one; during deep drilling, continuously record torque, pump pressure, returns, and tripping resistance, and address any trend anomalies promptly.
Since actual geological conditions, downhole tools, hole angles, and operating methods vary, final drilling efficiency, depth, and core recovery should be based on site conditions.
